For over 15 years, we have delivered thousands of science parties and spent over 50,000 hours delivering real experiments that kids love and parents approve at a Kids Science Labs near you.
Every kids birthday party at KSL includes colorful slimes, fizzing chemical reactions that make kids laugh, a bit of mystery that unlocks the joyful curiosity in every child.

What are some common birthday party questions and answers from our Kids Birthday Party Experts?
What exactly is Kids Science Labs?
Since 2010, we have delivered the most outstanding hands-on science programs, including camps, parties, and at-school STEM Labs that unlock the curiosity and creativity in every child. We have beautiful retail locations in Seattle and Chicago that support our world class hands-on science programs everywhere in the U.S.
How much is birthday party at KSL?
Our personalized party packages range from $24-40 per child, including 100% private access to our entire 3,000sf beautiful centers. All adult guests are free
What is included in your party packages?
We provde a scientist to lead all experiments with kids, full access to our beatuiful center, privacy as you will be the only party, up to 60 minutes of tailored hands-on science experiments, and a separate discovery science and celebration room so that adult guests and kids can engage to the fullest
Are there any restrictions on my food and cake?
You may bring food and cake from your preferred caterer, restaurant, or baker. Please know that for the safety of all of our guests, we try to maintain a preanut and tree-nut free facility, and ask our families not to bring nuts of any kind into KSL. Ask us for our recommendations!
Can I bring my own decorations?
Absolutely. Our party hosts will help you put up any special balloons, tableware, or banners in the celebration room.
What does Kids Science Labs provide?
We lead all science experiments and provide all science materials, tablecloths, plates, napkins for the food. Guests are welcome to bring decorations and special theme tableware.
What is in your STEAM Take Home Science Kits?
Our STEAM Kits are inside a branded 5x8x4 box, containing four hand-crafted experiments, includng one pair of colorful science googles, two science tools for kids, and three chemical reaction experiments that kids love but also won't mess up your house.
How do I book a party?
It's easy. Select a day & time that works on any upcoming weekend, and provide a credit card for the $100 deposit, that is credited against the balance of the party.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule my party?
We understand. We offer flexible reschedule options to any available future party date & time at the center. You may upgrade your party up until 3 days prior to the event date. If you need to cancel, the deposit is non-refundable. If the cancellation is within 7 days of the event date, only an event credit is avialable that may be used for any other service at Kids Science Labs
What do parents do during the party?
Kids Science Labs offers drop-off parties for kids 4+ with advance registration. Our centers are beautiful and often parents relax and laugh in the celebration room, or watch their kids engage each slime, chemical reaction, and color-changing experiments while kids are in the Creativity Lab. Occassionally, they too want to make slime, and we support the kid in everyone!

This place is exceptional. We just had our 4 year old's birthday party there and the entire experience was excellent. The staff is terrific and really knows how to keep the kids entertained (special thanks to Shegan for doing separate experiments with the birthday boy when he started getting grumpy).

Big Birthday Blowout PartyI typically do not write reviews. Don't have the time with 3 litle kids to do much less drive them all around the city for a class or party etc.....The reason I am taking the time to write one is because I had my son's 7th birthday party at Kids Science Labs and really feel that the establishment is excellent. From the owner to the staff to the facility it was top notch!!!! They were not only extremely accommodating but the kids had a riot. The teachers were wonderful, engaging, and really good with the little ones. One of the kids was shy and not participating in the group experiment and the owner took him to the side and was sitting on the floor showing him some science experiment and he loved the one on one. As a mom, I can't tell you how endearing it was to see a grown man sitting cross legged on the floor taking the time to include a kid who was too shy to incude himself. Most facilities don't personalize the experience the way that he did. We have been to EVERY birthday party imaginable. This is truly a one of a kind experience. What a cool place....We had our kids 5 and 7 year old birthday party here.....There were 35 kids in total..I have already received several emails from parents talking about how their kids can't stop talking about the science experiments and want to take a science class here. They allow you to choose what types of experiments you would want to do. We watched the video of the party last night and the look on the kids faces during the volcano is priceless. I strongly recommend you check this place out...Either for a party or for the science classes.... The staff is fabulous!

When we hosted my daughter's b-day party at KSL and we had the pleasure of watching 11 kids ooh and aaah all in the name of science. But's what's even better than the squeals of excitement is that they are actually learning. After my party, my 8 year old daughter attended KSL for over a year. KSL is not just a class. It's a place where kids are encouraged to ask questions, explore, and have fun all while learning science. I believe this is made possible by the highly knowledgeable staff and experiment friendly building.
Whether they are throwing objects to learn about gravity, making boats to discuss buoyancy, or drawing on the walls, the students are learning. I wish more places were as innovative as KSL, because I believe that my daughter's love of science has and will continue to grow because of their classes. In a world where science is getting pushed to the back of education, it's good to see a program that promotes science in both girls and boys.

Recently we held a birthday party there for my 5 year old and all I can say is wow! The kids had a blast. Their parents were very impressed with the party and Kids Science Labs as a whole with some signing up for classes immediately after the party. The staff ensured that I did not have to worry about anything or even do anything other than enjoy myself at the party. If you are around the area, give it a try and you won't regret it..
